Manual Handling Principles – Half Day

This half-day course is essential support for all working professionals who perform manual handling of objects, sit at a desk or stand in tiring positions. These activities are the main activities that cause work-related musculoskeletal disorders, such as back and joint pain.

Course description

Over a half day period, learners will develop a greater awareness of manual handling, including: common injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe handling principles and equipment.

Who should attend?

TheΒ Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) qualification has been specifically designed for all employees to help raise their awareness of the risks associated with unsafe handling practices. It is also ideal for those who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job such as handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.

Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.
