First Aid at Work
The First Aid at Work training course is 3 days which provides learners with a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations and conforms with HSE guidance.
Course Description
This course is designed for people who want to receive the most thorough first aid training. Most importantly, it is most suited to those working in higher-risk environments, such as building sites, warehouses or those with large staff or customer numbers.
Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.

What are the different learning methods for this course?
Face to face learning (Our Fave!)
Top tier learning which is entirely classroom based over 3 consecutive days. We always recommend this type of training to get as much practical experience as possible
Face to face learning on Non-consecutive days
Non-Consecutive learning is entirely classroom-based, however, the 3 days are spread across 3 weeks.
Blended Learning
Blended learning has 2 parts:
Part 1: Online
You are in control because this part of the course is self-directed and is expected that it will take a day (or 6 hours) to complete in total. You can complete the modules at your own pace in your own environment providing you with the flexibility you need. The online training must be completed within 6 weeks before your face-to-face training.
You must complete the online section of this course before attending the face to face part.
Part 2: Face-to-face (at your venue)
You are spending 2 days in the classroom where you will be in a group with your fellow blended course mates. The day will be led by a specialist trainer.

What topics are covered on a First Aid at Work Course?
Assessment and Certification
Assessment
Continuous observation by the trainer and a multiple-choice theory assessments.
For those doing Blended learning, there are also online knowledge checks.
Certification
Successful candidates receive a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated Level 3 First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate, valid for three years.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Successful learners receive a certificate valid for three years, in line with HSE recommendations.
Is the training practical or classroom-based?
Our courses are highly practical Learners practise CPR, AED use, and first aid techniques using real training equipment, not just slides or theory.
Is the course accredited?
Yes. Our First Aid at Work course is Ofqual-regulated and meets current HSE guidance for workplace first aid training.
How long does the course take?
The First Aid at Work course is delivered over three days, with a balance of practical, hands-on training and guided learning.

What if I have more than 12 students?
If you have more than 12 learners, we can arrange additional trainers or split the group to ensure training remains safe, engaging, and fully compliant — just let us know your numbers when booking.
