Course description

Employers are legally required to ensure their appointed first aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three years their certificates are valid.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for people who hold a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or those who have other first aid certificates wanting to maintain their skills.

It does not renew or requalify First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications. If you need to renew a qualification take a look at our requalification checker over there 👉

Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.

What are the different learning methods for this course? 

Face to face learning only! (Our Fave!)

Entirely classroom based, this course requires 3 hours in the classroom. Super practical!

Adult resuscitation (CPR)

Communication and casualty care

Defibrillators and safe use (we use real AED training devices, not theory and laminates! 👀)

Seizures

Severe bleeding

Shock

Unresponsive adult

No formal assessments, you’re already qualified!

Certification

This course does not extend or renew the validity period of your qualification. It is for practice, refreshing skills, updates and maintaining competence.
